THE LLOYDMINSTER & DISTRICT SPCA IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
The Lloydminster and District S.P.C.A in a non-profit organization which receives funding from the City of Lloydminster for operational costs of the shelter. This municipal funding is our main source of ongoing funding as we do not receive any provincial or federal funding. General fees at the shelter, along with general donations, fundraisers, and grants make up the rest of our operational budget. These mulitple sources allow us to continually pay our monthly bills, staff wages, building upgrades/maintenance, utility expenses, cleaning materials, pet food and supplies, veterinary fees, and all other miscellaneous costs. We thank the City of Lloydminster, all of our donors, and fundraiser volunteers/attendees for their support.
Our Vision
A loving, responsible home for every animal.
Our Mission
Through education, spay and neuter programs, temporary shelter and permanent placement of animals into loving homes, the Lloydminster & District SPCA is committed to reduce or eliminate the number of neglected and abandoned companion animals in our community.

THINKING OF DONATING TO THE SPCA?
Looking to volunteer your time?
We have a number of ways and opportunities for you to volunteer!
First, we need to find out a little bit more about your interests and in what areas you would be willing to lend a hand.
To that end, we have created a Volunteer Application that can be downloaded and filled out at your convenience.
What Can You Do as Volunteer?
Dog Walk Program
This is our primary "hands on" program where volunteers work directly with the animals. This program was developed to improve the quality of life for the dogs staying at the Shelter. A dog that is walked and has social interaction every day is healthier, happier, and more likely to be adopted.
Cat Cuddlers Program
This program involves socializing with shelter cats during their stay at the facility. The Lloydminster & District SPCA volunteers play with, groom, and give our furry friends the love and affection they need. Did you know the sound of purring has been proven to reduce stress and provide relaxation?
IF YOU WISH TO VOLUNTEER WITH THE DOGS AND CATS PLEASE PHONE AHEAD TO BOOK YOUR ORIENTATION (780-875-2809).
Fundraising & Events
The SPCA has a variety of fundraisers and events throughout the year. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the events! From bartending to flipping burgers, there is something to entice anyone! It's as simple as checking off your areas of interest on our volunteer application.
